Description:

Sound Pack for the Volvo FH5 trucks in ETS2, created from studio-quality audio recordings of a 2023 Volvo FH5 I-Save 500, equipped with a stock 12.8l Volvo D13T500A Euro 6 engine with Turbo Compound technology.

All sounds of the FH5 — including the D13 TC engine, I-Shift gearbox, interior sounds, air brakes, and much more — were professionally recorded using studio-grade audio equipment.

The Sound Pack replaces the original ETS2 sound files for the D13x and D16x engines for the following trucks: the Volvo FH4 by SCS, the Volvo FH5 by SCS, the Volvo FH6 by SCS, and the Volvo FH 2022 by Sanax.

It is also compatible with the Renault Range T by SCS and the Renault Range T Evo by Gloover.

Additional Engine and Transmission Options

The Sound Pack also includes five standalone Volvo D13T (FH5 & FH6) and D13K TC (FH4) engines, as well as two standalone Renault DE13 TC engines, ranging from 420 to 510 hp.

These engines feature realistic performance characteristics based on original Volvo Trucks & Renault Trucks datasheets, including:

Authentic engine parameters
Realistic torque curves
Matching Volvo I-Shift & Renault Optidriver transmissions
Multiple differential ratios ranging from 1.95 to 4.11
Custom transmission and shift-logic parameters

Thanks to the use of 10 synchronized microphones placed all around the truck, the D13T500A Turbo Compound engine has been recorded in its fullest glory, including all its details, auxiliary units and emission control systems
In the cabin, every control, switch, and warning tone of the FH4, FH5 and FH6 has been recorded and successfully implemented into the game, featuring different sounds specific for each FH4, FH5 and FH6 generation
The I-Shift gearbox has been recorded in multiple driving scenarios, featuring a wide range of unique shifting sounds, as well as high-quality retarder sounds with attenuation and pitch variations reflecting the real life retarder behavior
Multi-directional soundscape that changes depending on your position relative to the truck — whether you're in front, next to, or behind the truck, all truck sounds respond to your position, just like in real life.
Enhanced cabin noise insulation: Experience the comfort of a quieter cabin, while still feeling the raw power of the engine through crisper, more realistic audio and true-to-real life reverb settings. This creates a much more dynamic sound experience, deepening your sense of immersion and realism.
Numerous features have been created through extensive programming, implementation, and in-game testing that are not included in the standard game mechanics, including:
- Warning tones when turning off the engine without parking brake or with lights activated
- Air-brake sounds when engaging/disengaging the parking brake
- Multiple sounds that are only triggered under certain driving conditions
- Many small details such as key sounds when starting/stopping the engine, button sounds for raising/lowering the lift-axle, gear selector sounds, and much more

Please note:

In Convoy mode, Audio synchronization between players is not provided. However, the Sound Pack can be used locally, so other players are not required to have it installed.
